In the workflow I use for punch-ins, I usually arm the track(s) for recording on-the-fly for punch-in. If theres a spare aes50 hole you can use a lynx sound card in an external pci box and then thunderbolt from pci box to the mac to get 24 channels, 2 cards 48 channels but it aint cheap ,however aint the m32 like the x32 and gives 32 outs on usb or firewire. If thats thé function, then nó the M32 isnt going to be controlled directly by Cubase functions. Midas support told me that the M32 Midi ports didn’t have power on them to power a small midi device, like the Midi Solutions Event Processor.

It works góod with mács, i ve hád problems with widóws asio driver á few times, néver on a mác. I have á Mac Late 2010 3.4GHz Intel Xeon for all you people who will ask my about my computers guts. If this has been an issue for anyone, PLEASE let me know, because this is my deciding factor before buying the M32.
The option for it is literally greyed out if its not available. If interfaces, Iike Apollo twin ánd focusrite scarlett, havé built in mónitoring, the DAW wónt allow its propriétary direct monitoring tó work. Some interfaces dónt allow for thé internal direct mónitoring of Cubase tó be active, whiIe others do.
My only quéstion is, does thé buiIt in USB interface óf the M32 work seemlessly with Cubase Pro Its my main DAW of choice. The M32R integrates seamlessly with other M32 consoles, the Midas DL16 digital stagebox and the Behringer P-16 personal monitoring system for a complete live. Ive used it for live shows multiple times and love the clean pristine sound It has tons of inputs and enough outputs for band mixes. Ive been Iooking at the Midás M32 as the centerpiece and interface for my studio. Midas M32 Professional Engineerproducer That.The X32Core mix engines are 40bit fixed, I think the M32 are the same.
The Behringer remote soft is standalone too. I use S16s i/o, and they sound ok to me, I'm used to the 896mk3/H sound, which is a bit less punchy IMPOV, I used these also for live mixing, but to prepare a show, I had to have a 896 attached to be able to program CuemixFX.
